David Levithan and I are coming to Orlando! I am very excited this worked out. The event is at the main branch of the Orlando Public Library. There will be a book sale and signing to follow. SOLD OUT!
I'm coming to Chicago! This event is hosted by The Book Stall, but takes place at The Skokie School Auditorium. Ticket details from the store:
Your entry ticket is the purchase of a Rainbow Rowell book (any one) from The Book Stall. We require a special event bracelet (free with book purchase) to gain entry to the auditorium. Due to the volume of calls we are unable take phone orders for this event, but you are welcome to stop by the store any time from October 6th on to get your book and entry bracelet. If you are unable to make it to the store before the event we will be selling Rainbow’s books (and entry bracelets) on-site. Doors open at 5:30 PM. Don't worry--we will have plenty of books, and with ample space in the auditorium there is no need to worry that you won't get in.
Call if you have questions. -- 847 446-8880.
Books by the Banks: Cincinnati USA Book Festival is an annual celebration of books and reading that takes place every October in downtown Cincinnati. It's free!
I'll be doing an author talk and two limited signings. Here's how to make sure you get in:
A line letter is required for the signing line. Staff will distribute a limited number of line letters (200 for each signing). Line letters will be available at the Information Table in the Author Pavilion.
I will sign any books of mine that you bring, and photos are allowed.
Here is my schedule for the day:
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Signing in the Author Pavilion; signing will be ticketed and limited to 200 people.
1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Author Spotlight: Rainbow Rowell, room 206
2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Signing in the Author Pavilion; signing will be ticketed and limited to 200 people.
COME CELEBRATE THE WORLDWIDE LAUNCH OF CARRY ON, the new novel from No. 1 New York Times bestselling author, Rainbow Rowell.
Rainbow will sit down with The Magicians-author Lev Grossman to talk about her take on magic words, chosen one stories, and the power of scones. Q&A and signing to follow. Books sold on premises.
THIS IS A REAL (TEA) PARTY with Simon-Snow themed treats and favors. BREAK OUT YOUR VERY BEST CARDIGAN.
I'm so happy that Eleanor & Park was chosen as the Omaha Public Library's 2015 Omaha Reads selection. Thank you for voting for it!
I'll be discussing the book at a kick-off event at the downtown library, in the Michael Phipps gallery. Come, ask questions, discuss! Also, the Bookworm will be there selling copies, and I'll be signing them.
Hey! I decided to do an event while I’m in Canada. Come say hi, 7/23 Thursday at 7, in Charlottetown on PEI.
Can't make it to Comic-Con? Join me at Barnes & Noble Oceanside to celebrate the Landline paperback launch!
There will be copies of the new Landline paperback for sale, along with the raspberry red Fangirl special edition, and the B&N special edition of Eleanor & Park.
And to make it feel even more special, I'm going to bring a few Landline audiobooks, and two VERY RARE Attachments hardcovers for prizes. Also a variety of buttons.
This is a free event, but the store will start giving out wristbands when it opens that day; this is mostly to keep people from camping out.
There is PLENTY of room at this store, so please don't stress if you can't get a wristband until just before the event. There will be enough space, and I'll sign everybody's books.
4-5 p.m., Room 29AB
Spotlight on Rainbow Rowell -- moderated by Leigh Bardugo
I'll be sitting down with my friend Leigh to talk books, writing, careers -- and CARRY ON!
Plus I'll have some Carry On buttons and posters to give away, and there'll be a chance to ask questions. (I know there's a Sherlock panel happening at this time, but if you can't get in there, bring your Johnlock feels and Season 3 angst this way. I'll hold your hand.)
5:30-7 p.m. Sails Pavilion Autograph Area; Table 4
Purchase is not required; but my books will be for sale at the autograph table. I'll sign whatever books of mine that you bring.
I'll be talking books-writing-life with Rachel Fershleiser of Tumblr. You don't need a ticket for this event. (Beyond your BookCon admission.) Seating is first-come, first seated -- but this a HUUUUUUUGE ROOM. So please don't let that discourage you. More details here.
A TICKETED signing will follow the talk at 4 p.m. in Macmillan Meeting Room #3139.
The signing will be ticketed for 200 people. To get a ticket, you must purchase a copy of the Fangirl special edition from the Greenlight Bookstore in Macmillan's Booth #3056. Tickets will again be first come, first served and one ticket per person. Tickets will be available as soon as the show floor opens on Saturday. More details about the signing here.
