Today I got my first copies of Pumpkinheads, the graphic novel I made with artist Faith Erin Hicks. Ah! It’s even more beautiful than I expected!
Pumpkinheads is about two teen pumpkin patch employees making the most of their last night at the patch. It’s probably the most joyous thing I’ve ever written, and Faith’s art is so expressive and lovable. I really hope you’ll like it.
It comes out Aug. 27th in both hardcover and paperback:
There’s no content difference between the hard and soft covers. The softcover has French flaps, as you can see below. (You can also get a sneak preview of the pumpkin patch in the book!)
Sarah Stern did the colors for the book, and they are lush and Octoberrific:
Will you like Pumpkinheads? I don’t know! Do you like great puns, bad goats and snacks???
You can read the first few pages of Pumpkinheads and find out about my tour with Faith here.
You can preorder a signed and personalized copy from my local indie bookseller, The Bookworm, here.
No matter where you preorder, enter your receipt here and get an adorable signed Pumpkinheads print signed by Faith and me. You’ll also be entered into a contest to win a trip!
The print looks like this:
We’re all so proud of this book. I hope you’ll give it a shot! If you have any questions, hit me up on Twitter.
